Xbox One Backwards Compatibility gains support for multi-disc 360 games

Posted on May 16, 2016

Microsoft’s Xbox One has been gradually increasing it’s list of Xbox 360 games that it’s able to run via backwards compatibility. However, there’s always been a small caveat with how the system worked, which is it was unable to support Xbox 360 games that came on Multiple DVDs, but this is all changing.

Xbox have subtly rolled out compatibility for these titles with the first off the shelf being Deus Ex : Human Evolution Director’s Cut. Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb confirmed on Reddit that the system was now ready to support these titles, noting that the team has found a way to make it work.

Personally I’m so glad this feature is up and can’t wait for some more of my favourite 360 games to join the backwards compatibility catalogue, in particular Mass Effect 3 which is one I am really hanging on playing again with my Elite Controller!
