More light shed on Injustice 2’s story

Posted on March 11, 2017

Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment has unveiled a new Injustice  2 trailer that casts a spotlight on the escalating conflict between Batman’s resistance and Superman’s regime. Players will bear witness to the Caped Crusader’s unlikely band of allies, making a bid for freedom and justice against foes who are more than willing and able to take it away from them.

After an impassioned speech condemning Superman’s actions, Bruce Wayne is implored not to shoulder the  burden of protecting the world alone, something he has always done all up till now. Batman is now forced to concede that saving the world is a task too big for one man to do all alone. Always the lone hero, Batman is not one to accept help easily and it would appear that his allies are themselves, not all virtuous by nature. With the likes of Green Arrow, Harley Quinn, The Flash, Black Canary, and Green Lantern, at his side the resistance may yet stand a chance of defeating Superman and his allies, in spite of their flaws.

Not only will Batman and his crew need to fight Superman and his super powered allies, but a new threat may be looming just over the horizon. During the trailer a brief shot of several infamous villains banded together are shown, including Poison Ivy, Cheetah and Gorilla Grodd, in what appears to be an assembly speech. Could this The Society of Super Villains making their move, now that the heroes of the world are pitted once against one another?
