Dead Alliance: Not your average zombie game

Posted on May 25, 2017

Maximum games have teamed up with Psyop and IllFonic to release the tactical first person shooter: Dead Alliance, where the zombies are not just your enemy; they’re also your secret weapon.  The inventive game takes team based shooters and zombie survival games and smashes them together.

The result? Dead Alliance, where you’re facing the enemy and the hordes of dead who are just licking their lips for some of your sweet braaaains.

Dead Alliance 2

Dead Alliance let’s players maim and kill the enemy in the usual ways you would expect from a shooter, with lots of military grade weapons and explosives , which can all be customised in your load-outs before each match. But what really sets the game aside is the use of Zombie controlling tech called “zMods”.

Examples of zMods include the Enrager – a pheromone bomb that turns a single zombie into a soldier of superior strength and resistance on your side. Another is the PAM grenade, which entices four zombies to do your bidding, but unlike the Enrager, the PAM grenade does not increase the zombies damage resistance. Utilise the zMods to turn the tide in battle, but be wary, your enemy have the same tech as you.

Set in a post-apocalyptic world which has been laid to waste by war and the zombie plague, military bases are the worlds last cities, and you’re pitted against other cities in the battle for… well, to not join the dead’s growing numbers.

Dead Alliance features a whole range of single player and 4v4 multiplayer game types, including Team Deathmatch, Free for All, King of the Hill, and Capture and Hold, as well as the MOBA-inspired Attrition mode and Solo Survival mode.

The game is set to launch on August 29th on Xbox One and PS4. Are you ready to join the Dead Alliance? For more information on the game, head to the official website.
