Mario teams up with Rabbids for new game

There’s been much speculation over what will be on the cards for Nintendo at this year’s 2017 E3 (being held 14th to the 16th of June) and what might just be their big headliner. Well if these rumours are anything to go by, I’m here to tell you, look no further.

A new promotional image has just been leaked (shown below) which seemingly confirms all the previous rumours we’ve heard of a Mario/Rabbids RPG game being co-developed by Nintendo and Ubisoft for the Switch. With the date for E3 looming ever closer, it’s hard to ignore the timing of this leak and the potential part it may play in Nintendo’s E3 Livestreams and Treehouse presentations.

So with this information in hand here’s what we know so far about Mario+Rabbids Kingdom Battle. While we aren’t completely sure about the gameplay, it’s said that the game will feature turn-based combat and have local co-op for two players. A total of eight playable characters will be available: Mario, Luigi, Peach and Yoshi as well as four Rabbids dressed up (or cosplaying if you will) as the aforementioned characters. Each character is clearly armed with their own personal BFG, and it’s clear to see from the above image that there’s no princess to rescue here, and Yoshi clearly means business!
