E3 2017: Darwin Project

Posted on June 12, 2017

Microsoft has unveiled another take on the classic Battle Royale formula with The Darwin Project as part of their E3 presentation.

The game has a fun cartoon art style and gives me the feels of Team Fortress 2 crossed with Unreal Tournament. It takes place in a dystopian post-apocalyptic landscape in the Northern Canadian Rockies. A new project, half science experiment, half live entertainment is launched, called “The Darwin Project”, which challenges participants to survive the cold and fight to the death in a dangerous arena.

Its new core gameplay is being called “the manhunt”, where players “must survive extreme environmental conditions, track opponents and set traps in order to win.”

We don’t have a launch date yet but it’ll certainly be a title to keep an eye out for. The title will be heading to Xbox One and Windows 10.
