E3 2017: Skull and Bones revealed

Posted on June 13, 2017

Ubisoft have revealed an open world multiplayer pirate game called Skull and Bones at their official E3 conference this morning.

Inspired originally by the sea-combat that was featured in Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag, it looks like Sea of Thieves won’t be the only online pirate game to keep an eye on in the coming months.

You’ll be able to play with friends and against them with naval combat in online PvP. You can stay solo or form a gang of pirates with friends, terrorizing the trade routes of the Indian Ocean, in order to become “the ultimate pirate Kingpin”. They showed some gameplay of the PvP at the conference as well, and there’s a ‘what you need to know’ trailer online too. It looks like ship vs ship is the main goal here, giving it a clear point of difference.

Skull and Bones will be releasing in Fall 2018 for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
