Posted on October 20, 2017

The roll out of the third generation of Pokémon in Pokémon GO has begun with the Pokémon GO Halloween event adding some spooky ghost types into the mix. This is the first time third generation Pokémon will be appearing in the popular Augmented Reality (AR) mobile game, with the rest promised to arrive in December. This will bring about the mons that were created for the Pokémon Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald games.

Here is a list of all the new Pokémon added for the event:

  • Sableye
  • Shuppet
  • Banette
  • Duskull
  • Dusclops

These are permanent additions to the game, however their availability and spawn rates will be reduced at the conclusion of the Halloween event on November 2nd. Until then, ghost type Pokémon are more abundant – along with a special Pikachu with a witches hat that can be caught.

Other long promised features are still in the works according to Niantic. But how long until these features are added is unknown.
