Team Fortress 2 Jungle Inferno announced with a very Australian trailer

Posted on October 17, 2017

Team Fortress 2 (TF2) may be over a decade old now but that hasn’t stopped it from continuing to pull in a very healthy player-base. Today that player-base will be very happy because an update by the name of jungle Inferno has been announced and launched for the free to play shooter.

The update kicks off with a brand new control point map by the name of Mercenary Park, set in the jungle. 5 community made maps will also be featured throughout the 4 day event and they look pretty spectacularly well made. Lastly a bunch of new emotes will be on offer too. Head on over to the official website to find out more details.

The update was announced via trailer and I’ll be honest, it’s well worth giving a watch. The trailer features Saxton Hale, a bit of a joke character in Team Fortress lore who is hyper masculine and hyper Australian. Whilst the character may not perfectly represent Australian culture, I can confirm that we do almost exclusively wear short shorts and grow our chest hair in the shape of our beloved continent .
