Breath of the Wild wins Game of the Year at The Game Awards

The Game Awards are the gaming industries biggest and most globally recognised awards ceremony for video games. This year’s affair was certainly no small undertaking with a huge year of gaming requiring a big show to celebrate. Various games were nominated for various categories (and if you want to see the full nomination list head here) but the ultimate winner is Game of the Year.

The Game of the Year category had 5 nominations:

• Super Mario Galaxy
• Persona 5
• The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
• Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds
• Horizon Zero Dawn

And the winner was The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Congratulations to a deserving winner!
