Assassin’s Creed Rogue is getting a remaster in March

Ubisoft has today revealed that they will be remastering Assassin’s Creed Rogue for current generation consoles. The game was originally released back in 2014 for PS3 and Xbox 360 and came to the PC a few months later in early 2015.

Assassin’s Creed Rogue is an off-shoot of the Assassin’s Creed franchise and was released as the 7th game in the series. The game plays most similarly to Assassin’s Creed Black Flag with a mixture of land and naval gameplay sections. It is also set in 18th century North America amidst the chaos and violence of the French and Indian War. Check out the announcement trailer below.

Whilst the game itself isn’t particularly old, the remaster will give players who missed out on playing the original a chance to catch up on their current generation console of choice. The game will be releasing March 20th for PS4 and Xbox One and will have 4k options available on the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X. There is currently no word of a PC remaster (this seems very unlikely).
