Far Cry 5 is going weird with its DLCs

Do you remember Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon? I certainly did. The game was a parody of cheesy 80’s action movies with a neon-futuristic world for you to romp around in. It was stupid, but it was the best kind of stupid. And now it looks like Ubisoft are doubling down on that same kind of weirdness because they have today announced three DLC packs for the upcoming Far Cry 5 and each one looks more ridiculous than the last.

The DLC will be available to Season Pass holders, and all those who purchase the Season Pass will also be granted a free copy of Far Cry 3 as a bonus!

The first DLC goes by the name of ‘Hours of Darkness’ and will be set in Vietnam with players taking on the Viet Cong. The second DLC is called Dead Living Zombies and is inspired by B-movie zombie films. And the third goes by the name of Lost on Mars where the player will take on alien arachnids on the surface of the red planet.

Far Cry 5 is set to release on March 27 with no release schedule known for any of the game’s DLC. Ubisoft has also released a brand new story trailer for the game which can be viewed below.
