Run Dorothy Run is out this week, click your heels three times.

Run Dorothy Run was originally supposed to be released in 2017, that obviously didn’t happen. However, Vitro Entertainment have announced that the game will now be released next week! Run Dorothy Run is an immersive rhythm runner game in VR and will be released for PSVR February 20th with a Steam and Oculus release coming toward the end of the month.

Run Dorothy Run is an endless runner set in the world of Oz and we covered the announcement here. It combines the fantastical elements of classic novel “The Wizard of Oz” with an electro-swing soundtrack to create a VR world of Oz. The Wizard has been dumped by the Wicked Witch of the West and has tricked Dorothy into helping him get his prized possessions returned. Mayhem Ensues.

Run Dorothy Run features 16 levels based on the world of Oz. The Emerald Palace, the Deserts of Oz and the Witches castle plus many more. Along the way she will collect crystals, battle enemies and dance through jeers thrown her way. The developers Vitro Entertainment have had more than 1000 people play test the game to ensure the mechanics were just right. They also spent a lot of time testing the story and jokes to make sure gamers are in for a unique experience.

Vitro Entertainment are a VR focussed developer based in Canada, founded by Australian female duo Jordan and Lee Brighton. They have a team of ten people designing and developing VR titles that everyone can enjoy. They pride themselves on a diverse culture and the team is 50% female.
