Geralt of Rivia, star of CD Projekt Red’s The Witcher, has been revealed as a guest fighter in the upcoming fighting game, Soulcalibur VI.
In his gameplay video, Geralt is seen in a stage resembling Kaer Morhen from The Witcher games, fighting Soulcalibur regular Mitsurugi. The official announcement describes his combat style as “a combination of swordplay, ability-enhancing potions, and combat magic”.
Of course, the Soulcalibur series is no stranger to crossovers with other franchises. Previous iterations have seen such characters as Ezio Auditore, Darth Vader and Link from The Legend of Zelda. So far 9 characters (including Geralt) are confirmed for the roster.
Soulcalibur VI will be released later this year for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
