The Walking Dead Final Season changes combat and camera

Posted on June 12, 2018

Telltale let us know in 2017 that the fourth and final season of The Walking Dead would be coming this year. During E3 2018, we learned that the date to look forward to is 14th August for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

The game is already visible on the PlayStation Store, with a game description that gives us a few clues about what Clementine will be up against.

“After years on the road facing threats both living and dead, a secluded school might finally be Clementine and AJ’s chance for a home. But protecting it will mean sacrifice. In this gripping, emotional final season, your choices define your relationships, shape your world, and determine how Clementine’s story ends.”

The upcoming title includes some changes to the tried-and-tested formula. Changes to the combat will make you approach zombies and execute a sequence of inputs to attack. In addition, a new over-the-shoulder 3rd person camera allows for greater freedom when navigating the scenes.

Melissa Hutchinson, the voice actress behind The Walking Dead protagonist Clementine, spoke to The PCGamer Show today about her memories of the series. She spoke about watching Clementine grow over the course of the games, “falling deeper and deeper in love with her”. You can watch the full interview here.
