This is how it ends… San Diego Comic Con drops The Walking Dead: The Final Season trailer

Posted on July 22, 2018

The popular series from Telltale Games, The Walking Dead,  is nearing the end of its saga and it would appear fan favourite Clem is back as this final title’s main protagonist. With AJ travelling alongside her, the final season looks like it’ll focus on their tale of survival in a Zombie infested world. Despite all the horrible occurrences surrounding Clem, she is still fighting to stay alive and protect those closest to her. Here, shown below, is the latest trailer for The Walking Dead: The Final Season from San Diego Comic Con.

Having taken the critiques of A New Frontier, it would seem that Telltale are focusing on what made the original games so enjoyable – by focusing on Clem’s story and her personal development. From what can be seen in the trailer it would appear that Clem and AJ have joined ranks with a number of other youths in a small abandoned residence. While it’s clear that Clem is still the kind and gentle girl we all know and love, the last few years have obviously hardened her to the realities of a hostile world, in which only the fit survive.

Currently not much else is known about the story’s direction as of yet, with Clem’s fate still up in the air – fans of the series knowing just how brutal a finale like The Walking Dead can be. It will certainly cover Clementine’s relationship with AJ and how she is trying to teach him how to live in this new harsh world. The game will also feature updated combat mechanics making for a more realistic experience in this choice based game.

Telltale’s The Walking Dead: The Final Season is scheduled for a serialised release, Episode One arriving on August 14, 2018 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch. While the developers at Telltale have confirmed The Final Season is the last story depicting Clem’s tale, they’ve not ruled out more possible Walking Dead stories with other characters in the post-apocalyptic world, having done so in A New Frontier.
