More Warhammer: Vermintide 2 content is coming in December

The divine heroes return to Ubersreik, where it all began and ended in the original game. The new DLC titled ‘Back to Ubersreik‘ places players at the birthplace of Sigmar. The gothic city of Ubersreik lies at the mouth of the Grey Lady pass.  One would simply be confused as to why the players would want to return to the same areas they’ve already encountered. However, there are hints and glimmers of something unnatural and off-putting happening in the familiar town.  As the heroes arrive, everything is about identical… or is it?

Warhammer: Vermintide 2 has been a crazily successful game. It stands easily alone as the best recent horde mode multiplayer title currently on the market. The few competitors that are quietly roaming around simply don’t meet the intuitive progression and role-playing elements that Vermintide 2 provides.

Three completely remastered maps will be available for Warhammer: Vermintide 2 fans. Revisiting three of the maps from the original game, Fatshark will add all new challenges and obstacles to shake things up. Hints towards a ‘secret surprise‘  lay within the upcoming downloadable content. Whether it leads to a Payday 2 style hidden agenda, several exclusive unlocks, a nostalgic enemy returning for revenge, or a brand new playable character waits to be seen.  Beginning with the Horn of Magnus and then delving deeper into the heart of Ubersreik, players will discover areas where  ‘untold mysteries lay dormant‘.

Fans of the series are overjoyed with the news. Begging for a return to the original game with the updated mechanics and graphics of its successor, Fatshark is finally bringing players back. The developer highlights,  ‘you have been wishing for us to bring you back to Vermintide 1, and we love that you love the first game. If you are in the nostalgic mood and simply cannot wait to go back in time we recommend you start by revisiting Vermintide 1‘. Luckily enough, if this DLC works like the last, those without it can still play the maps through “quickplay” .

Back to Ubersreik, the newest content for Warhammer: Vermintide 2, will be available for roughly $15 AUD (9.99 USD / 6.99 GBP / 7.99 EUR). Purchase it in December on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows.
