Paradox teases new game with a blood-focused dating app

Posted on February 12, 2019

A new dating app has entered the market, although this one may be more interested in finding you victims than finding you true love. The app is called Tender which was rather cryptically released out of nowhere from Paradox Interactive, a video game publishing studio known for Europa Universalis, Crusader Kings, City Skylines and much, much more. The app can be found over at this web address and there’s even a video trailer to go with it (seen below). But what does this all really mean?

Once you create an account for Tender, the app will ask you your blood type before matching you with sick people in your area. In fact the whole thing, logo included, has a very obvious blood theme going for it. Chances are Paradox haven’t actually created a macabre dating app, they are teasing something bigger.

Since Paradox Interactive purchased White Wolf Publishing back in 2015, the current leading theory is that the game being teased is a new entry into the Vampire: The Masquerade series. This would be huge news if true. For those unaware, Vampire: The Masquerade – Redemption released in 2000 and the more popular Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines released in 2004. Both games were ahead of their time and featured a dark, vampire-filled world. The game’s are based on the World of Darkness fictional universe and became big cult classics, despite never breaking into mainstream success.

Tender appears to be the start of more teasing to come, so hopefully we will have definite answers soon. According to PC Gamer, Paradox Interactive reached out to them suggesting secret codes were hidden in certain videos and more secrets and information is already out there. We don’t know what all of this means just yet, but it doesn’t usually take the internet long to decipher these kind of riddles. Hang tight for more information!
