…WHINGE ONLINE ABOUT WHICH SYSTEM IS THE MASTER RACE!

Or, take the fight to Rocket League instead!

Cross-network play is now live between Xbox One and Steam PC players as of May 24th.

Once patched, players simply have to toggle cross-network matchmaking in the game menu to begin.

“It’s an historic moment for us here at Psyonix, and we’re really exciting to bring Xbox One and Steam PC players closer together.”  says Psyonix Vice-President Jeremy Dunham on xbox.com.  “Cross-network play has been something that Xbox One gamers have been asking us for since the day we launched, and thanks to Microsoft’s new cross-network policies, we’re proud to give it to them.”

This marks the first in what will hopefully be a collection of cross-network titles for the Xbox One. While Sony have also had cross network support between the PS4 and PC for limited titles including Rocket League for some time now, it does mark progression to the eagerly hoped for cross-network play between Xbox One, PS4 and PC that was touted as a possibility some months back.  Time will tell how popular and effective open multiplayer will be.

Nearly 2 million Xbox One players have already competed in Rocket League since it launched on the console in February 2016, and with this latest cross-network update, your potential pool of teammates and opponents will grow even larger!
