Hold onto your butts! Jurassic World: Evolution announced

Posted on August 21, 2017

Announced at Microsoft’s pre-Gamescom briefing,  Jurassic World: Evolution is a park building simulator by developer  Frontier Developments (Planet Coaster, Elite Dangerous).

The trailer depicts a baby T-Rex being hatched, growing into an adult, and then… well, you can probably guess the kind of chaos that ensues. Watch the trailer below, and feel that nostalgia as the main Jurassic Park theme swells.

The trailer shows off the architecture and design seen in the film franchise, and features several notable dinosaurs including the T-Rex, Stegosaurus, Triceratops, Parasaurolophus, and Brachiosaurus. Many fans of the Jurassic Park/World film series have been itching for another dino-park building simulator since 2002’s Operation Genesis, and this is sure to scratch that itch.

The game is set to release alongside the next movie, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, in 2018 and will be coming to Xbox One, PS4, and PC. Fingers crossed for a Jeff Goldblum voice role.
