Stardew Valley multiplayer officially launches on August 1st for PC

Posted on July 21, 2018

Grab your friends! The long-awaited multiplayer update for indie darling Stardew Valley will finally launch on the 1st of August – for PC, Mac, and Linux. There’s no date yet for the Switch, PS4, and Xbox One versions of the game, but if all goes well we’ll hopefully have some news soon. A public beta of the Stardew Valley multiplayer has been available to PC users since April.

The beta showed off the new mechanics, including in-game chat, money sharing, and buildings. Though it was unfinished and full of bugs, it allowed us to tinker around with the new mechanics. With the official launch, everything should be smooth sailing! Even without friends, there’s a lot to get up to and see – new heart events and even a new holiday. Unfortunately only PC players got the beta – but it’s still up, so go ahead and download it! Everything you need to know about how to play the beta is right here.
