Far Cry 5 New Dawn gets a bad-ass first reveal, arriving in February

Posted on December 7, 2018

The post-apocalypse is coming to Far Cry with the official reveal of the next game in the series. Far Cry New Dawn will be a continuation of the Far Cry 5 story taking place 17 years after the nukes dropped at the end of the game. With a new set of characters and narrative coming our way, Far Cry New Dawn looks positively bad-ass. Most excitingly, the game is arriving very shortly on February 15th 2019.

Check out the reveal trailer below.

Details of Far Cry New Dawn had been teased prior to The Game Awards with a leak occurring earlier this morning showing off details such as the box art. So this announcement at The Game Awards certainly didn’t come out of the blue, but that doesn’t make this any less exciting for Far Cry fans.

New Dawn will be a non-numbered standalone spin-off, much like titles such as Blood Dragon or Primal. Unlike other post-apocalyptic games, New Dawn is brimming with colour and life with an added dash of Far Cry’s distinctive style. With only a brief trailer to go on so far, I’m cautiously optimistic and can’t wait to see more.

The game will be coming to PC, PS4, and Xbox One on February 15th, 2019.
