Coming Out in gaming this week — May 11, 2020

Each week there are plenty of new games coming out. Although with so much going on it can be hard to keep track of them all. Thankfully Checkpoint is here to sift through them all and bring you our highlights of the week.

So let’s jump in and have a look at what’s coming out this week.

 

Star Wars Episode I: Racer Remastered

Deep Rock Galactic

Deep Rock Galactic is a game that has been kicking around in Steam Early Access for a little while now. It’s picked up quite the following during it pre-release phase too, and it’s not hard to see why. A good cooperative game can be so addictive and Deep Rock has proved to be more than capable of entertaining a squad of up to 4.

Playing as a “badass space dwarf”, you pick your class, join up with your team and go out to mine resources whilst defending yourself from hostile foes. It’s a simple yet effective concept. Each class will have its own unique strengths and when combines with a full squad you’ll be set to take on any obstacle in your path. With the game’s 1.0 release approaching, now may be the perfect time to check out Deep Rock Galactic.
