I Am Dead

I tell you what, there was certainly a real temptation to throw a bigger name into our “Top Pick” slot. Although I Am Dead takes the cake this week because it’s adorable, innovative, and downright intriguing. This little puzzle game is coming to us from a well renowned indie games publisher in the form of Annapurna Interactive. Sometimes it feels like that team can do no wrong, so as soon as a game gets the Annapurna stamp of approval I immediately pay attention.

I Am Dead may deal with the dark theme of death, but the game clearly still finds a way to be so innocent and wholesome. You play as a recently deceased protagonist who is reunited with his dog in the afterlife and finds himself trying to stop a horrific disaster before it hits the place he called home. The game looks like an interesting blend of narrative and hidden object game and I absolutely can’t wait to check it out!
