Ten magnificent March indies to marvel over this month!

Posted on March 5, 2025

Another month, another load of amazing indies to get obsessed with! Here is our list of ten March indies that we know you’ll love to get your hands on!

Knights in Tight Spaces

Release Date: March 5th

Developers: Ground Shatter

Platforms: PC/MAC

“Control your environment, gather your party, and build your best deck to overcome outlaws and supernatural forces, across a rich fantasy world. Watch as your tactical choices and deckbuilding prowess play out through stylish fight sequences.”

Looking at their previous 2021 release and spiritual successor, Fights in Tight Spaces, devs Ground Shatter have seemed to do a lot of work on making these Tight Spaces look and feel different to the original. Not only is it now in medieval times, but there are new ways to play and the setting isn’t as minimalistic in design as the original. Loving the new vibrant pinks and greens against the brown setting of the castle. So different in style yet similar in idea to Fights.

Everhood 2

Release Date: March 5th

Developers: Chris Nordgren, Jordi Roca

Platforms: PC/MAC

“AN UNCONVENTIONAL ARPG where you battle enemies through musical encounters while being accompanied by a raven who promises to retrieve your voice if you slay the mighty Mind Dragon!”

Everhood is one of those titles that has been sitting on my shame pile for waaay too long! I’ve always admired how trippy the aesthetics look and so many of my mates (including Checkpoint’s own Omi, who reviewed Everhood when it released in 2021 and gave it a 9 out of 10) have told me how awesome this game is. So now I join the many who are super excited for this release.

Grimoire Groves
Release Date: March 5th
Developers: Stardust
Platforms: PC, Nintendo Switch

“Join the witches in their quest to restore the Grimoire Groves! Master magic, grow cute plant creatures and discover the mystery of the Rainbow Socks in this cozy, rogue-lite dungeon crawler.”

When a game looks super sweet and Steam tells you that it is similar to Hades, you know it’s something to keep an eye on! Grimoire Groves is colourful, cute, and all about restoring the earth to its greatest potential so it’s super wholesome as well! This game is one that I want to recommend to all my cozy game girlies who also are into witchy stuff that isn’t all black and crimson.

Do No Harm
Release Date: March 7th
Developers: Darts Games
Platforms: PC

“Lovecraftian Doctor Simulator. Diagnose patients by analyzing unsettling symptoms and treat them using your Book of Medicine. Make moral choices — decide who to save or kill, discover whom to trust, and unlock multiple endings! Can you endure 30 days of perilous decisions?”

I’ve been getting into simulators recently and this looks like a good one for beginners. This looks kooky and I love how it delivers not only multiple endings but a rich narrative to go along with it.

Call of Boba
Release Date: March 11th
Developers: Tomatoast
Platforms: PC

“A cozy pixel art adventure about saving a struggling Boba Tea shop. Brew up tasty drinks, battle enemies for inspiration, make friends with customers, and much much more, on your quest to serve up the best tea in town!”

How precious does this game look? Making boba tea as a penguin? Making friends with other creatures (there’s a capybara!) and making them boba tea? I’m so keen to build up this struggling boba business and be the saviour of the town!

Wanderstop
Release Date: March 12th
Developers: Ivy Road
Platforms: PC, Nintendo Switch

“Wanderstop is a narrative-centric cozy game about change and tea. Playing as a fallen fighter named Alta, you’ll manage a tea shop within a magical forest and tend to the customers who pass through. But Alta does not want to be here. And if she gets her way, the tea shop will be nothing but a brief and painful memory.”

I’m quite intrigued by this one, especially what occurs at the end of the trailer. I’m unsure if Atla is dealing with PTSD, or whether there is still a link to her past that is literally plaguing her. Also, why is she a “fallen” fighter? Why does she need to do this job? So many questions that I can’t wait to be answered when Wanderstop releases.

Centum
Release Date: March 12th
Developers: Hack the Publisher
Platforms: PC, Nintendo Switch, PS5, Xbox Series X|S

“Every why has a wherefore. You are trapped, and you must escape. But is that really the goal? Centum is an unreliable narrative-driven adventure where everything may be a lie.”

Centum wants to mess with your head and is very blatant about wanting to do so in this trailer. It’s spooky and weird and some of the items they’ve designed are just grotesque. I think I’m most intrigued by the motif of the same room appearing throughout the trailer, but during different time periods.

Bubble Ghost Remake
Release Date: March 27th
Developers: Nakama Game Studio
Platforms: PC, Nintendo Switch

“Guide a small ghost and its bubble through an enchanted castle full of dangers and challenges in this incredible remake of the popular classic “Bubble Ghost”. With over 40 levels of skill that include ingenious puzzles and challenging obstacles, get ready for hours of addictive gameplay.”

I’m obsessed with Bubble Ghost and the way the ghost has to protect his little bubble! This is a remake of the 1987 Atari ST game Bubble Ghost which very much looks like a puzzle arcade game you’d find in a pizza shop in the 90s. The remake gives more of a Sunday morning cartoon vibe and I’m very here for it!

Rosewater
Release Date: March 28th
Developers: Grundislav Games
Platforms: PC, MAC

“A thrilling Western adventure in the alternate 19th century world of Lamplight City! Embark on a harrowing journey across the frontier with Harley Leger and her ragtag posse, encountering bandits, rebels, visionaries, eccentrics, and many more friends and foes on your quest for fame and riches.”

This point-and-click adventure looks like it has heaps of twists and turns that will keep players on their toes! Developers, Grundislav Games, also released a Western point-and-click title in 2018, Lamplight City; Rosewater is a part of that world. However, Rosewater, unlike Lamplight Cities’ single protagonist, has you play as Harley Leger and her ‘ragtag posse’ giving this a lighter feel than its predecessor.

Ambidextro
Release Date: March 28th
Developers: Majorariatto
Platforms: PC, MAC

“What if you could use 50% of your brain? Learn to control 2 characters simultaneously in short platforming levels of progressing difficulty. Achieve ambidexterity and rescue both the prince and the princess at the same time.”

Gamifying ambidexterity? What a concept! Love the retro, precision platformer vibes and the queer reference in the game’s synopsis.

Woah March is pretty full with some awesome titles! Hope you get around to trying these amazing indies out and we will see you next month for a list of awesome April releases!
