Australian release date for Fire Emblem Fates announced

Posted on April 13, 2016

It’s been out in the US for some time now, but Australia will finally get to experience Fire Emblem Fates on May 21st. If you haven’t seen the launch trailer yet, feast your eyes on this:

There are two versions of the game, Birthright or Conquest,  featuring different story lines and characters from the same universe.  The special edition includes both versions, as well as a third story line called Revelations on a single game card as one comprehensive package.  The demand for these games in Australia is so great that the launch shipment for the special edition has already sold out, with the next one to arrive in June.

Of particular relevance to all checkpoint fans is the inclusion of same sex marriages to the union system that has defined the game for several iterations, and I am very much looking forward to reviewing the game to see how this turns out.

There is also a special Fire Emblem Fates 3DS  XL being released, and it looks pretty cool:

The console is going to be exclusive to EB Games, and will retail at $249.95.

I hope you’re all ready for what’s looking to be yet another fantastic tactical RPG from Intelligent Systems.
