Nintendo’s new console, currently still named NX, is scheduled to launch in March 2017.
Nintendo have been quite specific that the NX will not make an appearance at the upcoming E3 video game trade show in Los Angeles in June and will be unveiled later this year.
This way, Nintendo says they can focus their entire E3 setup on The Legend of Zelda Wii U, which has also been announced as launching simultaneously on NX and Wii U in March 2017. Yes, that means the new Zelda won’t be launching in 2016 as previously expected.
They are obviously placing a lot of value on The Legend of Zelda if that is to be their only game on show at E3 this year; hopefully they can back up their confidence!
