If you loved Darksiders II, you were probably tempted to go back and play the original. There is only one problem; going back to the previous gen after basking in the glory of a new title is rough. The graphics aren’t as sharp as you remember, the frame rate is noticeably lower and the sheen isn’t quite the same. We got a remaster with Darksiders II: Definitive Edition, and now Nordic Games have announced Darksiders: Warmastered Edition coming to PC and latest generation of consoles on October 25.
While we wait for the highly anticipated and currently rumoured Darksiders 3, players can now experience Darksiders in 1080p at 60fps (except the WiiU, which will be 30fps) and what is claimed to be ‘doubled texture resolution’ . While there won’t be any extra content or features above the original, as a budget title this is a great chance for those who missed this series on the previous generation of consoles, or those gearing up for the release of Darksiders 3.
