New Pokémon Sun & Moon reveal – Salandit

Pokémon seem to be pulling out all the punches these last few weeks, with the release of Pokémon Go taking the world by storm, we’ve had more news come out of Game Freak headquarters. While we’re all up to our eyebrows  in generation one nostalgia, Nintendo have silently released a new trailer to show off their latest addition to generation seven – Salandit, a fire and poison Pokémon.

What really sets Salandit apart from previous reveals is that it’s a poison Pokémon with the ability to apply poison to everyone, even types normally immune to poison (such as steel Pokémon). If its final evolution can stand on its own in battles, it will surely have a massive impact on the competitive meta game, as steel walls like Aggron won’t be so sturdy any more. I’m so excited for Sun & Moon, but it’s so far away. At least I have all these Zubats outside my house in Pokémon Go to keep me busy until November!
