Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 New Character and Gameplay Content Announced

Bandai Namco has announced a dastardly new character and a number of new content details on the upcoming game sequel Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC Digital.

News that many Vegeta fan’s (myself included) will be happy to hear, the dark Saiyan Prince returns once more to threaten these peaceable times and prove just who is the strongest in the universe; Majin Vegeta. This merciless warrior is sure to shake up things for the Z-fighter, as in previous releases he was a faster and more erratic melee character.

The Saiyan Prince Returns

Players can also look forward to a variety of familiar, updated, and new online modes to keep their own unique avatars fighting for hours in both ranked and un-ranked matches. The option to engage in endless battles with also be made available, with the even more challenging option to use a zero stat avatar, testing a players mettle and fighting ability. In an ambitious move, players will also be able to take on 6 vs 1 Expert Mission Mode, allowing 6 players to take on and defeat a single NPC boss. It’s imperative teamwork is applied as the enemy will do it’s best to separate your members by banishing you into different dimensions where the only way to return is to beat sub challenges.

The number of quests in Xenoverse 2 has been increased by at least double and will also include new versions of previous quests from the first game release, as well a new system for rare item drops, giving players more opportunity to hunt for the accessories and costumes they desire.

Finally; those lucky enough to be in Europe will be granted a sneak peak of the online mode in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, with an upcoming open beta. Details of this are to be announced in the near future, and will give players a chance to explore Conton City and enjoy discovering expert missions.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 will be released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on October 28.
