No Man’s Sky, the highly anticipated universe exploration simulator won’t require a PlayStation Plus subscription to play. This has come as welcome news to those without a means for subscribing., especially considering you could theoretically play the game without ever seeing another player due to its size. It was a large concern for those who are without a PlayStation Plus subscription that No Man’s Sky would require one, considering the massive online build up of the game.

Sony have said that you wont even need to have an internet connection to play the game, but if you play without one, any of your discoveries that you make in the universe of No Man’s Sky will not be loaded into the universal atlas.

With just over a week to go for one of the most anticipated games of the year, maybe it’s a good idea to make sure your internet connection is up to scratch? In the meantime, check out the soundtrack that is coming soon, the several videos that have been released showing off the Explore, Fight, Trade, Survive aspects of the game, and get hyped with everything we know about No Man’s Sky so far.
