After the disappointing experience I had with Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8: Final Chapter Prologue at the Bandai Namco Preview, my interest in the title has been rekindled after watching the new extended trailer that has surfaced today.
Showing off new footage from both Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep 0.2 – A fragmentary Passage and Kingdom Hearts χ Back Cover, this is the kind of content that would have had me raving had it been part of what I played earlier in the month.
Set against a fresh bouncy mix of the iconic Simple and Clean by Hikaru Utada, this trailer gave me a thrill and triggered memories of the existing games. Memories of just how beautiful the stories told in the Kingdom Hearts series are as well as how intense the character development is.
This trailer sets a new standard for the new content contained on this collection and I’m desperately hoping that it fills a bit of the void in the midst of the longer wait for Kingdom Hearts 3. Check it out and let us know what you think!
