Respawn Entertainment’s new trailer for Titanfall 2 showcasing its single player campaign delivers the goods. When Titanfall 2 had its online multiplayer test weekend most gamers were on it like the Cookie Monster to cookies. However, we were still left wondering what to expect with the single player campaign we’d heard so much about. Well, wonder no more!.
Titanfall 2’s single player campaign dives deeper into the Titanfall universe, exploring the unique bonds between Pilot and Titan. According to Respawn Entertainment, Titanfall 2’s campaign offers a different pace of gameplay; players will experience low-key moments where they’re just progressing through and exploring the environment, using their pilot mobility, rather than relying on their Titan. Alternatively it will also deliver a feeling of being unstoppable together when paired with your Titan.
It won’t all be Titans and bullets though; with some light puzzle solving thrown in, Titanfall 2 will be anything but one dimensional.
“One of the strengths of the single-player is its sheer variety” says game director Steve Fukda. And by the looks of this trailer I’d have to agree. Designer Mackey McCandlish also said “You can get different Titan loadouts and experience the different flavours of Titans available in the multiplayer, in the single player.” This is great for players interested in the game but not interested competitive play. Often we see players miss out due to multiplayer being a focus over single player.
With an amazing story and something to please every type of gamer Titanfall 2 is one to look out for. Available on Xbox One, PS4 and PC October 28.
