The Walking Dead: No Man’s Land (Next Games) is the official iOS and Android mobile game of the AMC TV show The Walking Dead, that is based on the hugely successful comic book title written by Robert Kirkman with art by Tony Moore and Charlie Adlard (Image Comics).

Season 7 of the TV show has just begun airing with the previous season leaving viewers with a head crushing cliff-hanger.

Finnish game developer Next Games and AMC have partnered with new game content to be unlocked each week the TV show goes to air.  This content will include new playable characters as well as bonus themes, special cuts and behind-the-scenes videos.

“A game and a TV show have never been integrated in quite this way before, and we owe it to all the incredible support The Walking Dead: No Man’s Land received during its first year. We’re excited to work with AMC to expand the connections between the worlds of the TV series and game, giving fans an experience that continues to stay true to the show they love,” said Teemu Huuhtanen (CEO, Next Games).

The incredible support has been in the form of nearly 15 million downloads.  New content will be available each Monday so perhaps watch the show before playing each week just to be on the safe side.

Although much of the success of the game has been due to the success of the TV show (and to a lesser extent the comic book series), The Walking Dead: No Man’s Land is an entertaining turn-based zombie killing combat strategy game where you can customise your party based on their unique skills and power up each character through items, training and stat upgrades.

But don’t take our word for it though, listen to Norman Reedus himself:
