Aussie Black Friday deals

While the big sales might be over in the USA, Australia has come to play this year with some great deals on many games and consoles; with Xmas around the corner, this is a good day to go shopping! These deals are all set to last through the weekend too, which is even better. We’ve tried to summarize some of the best ones for you here.

Starting with the consoles – the best place to buy an Xbox One today might indeed be EB Games, as they have a bundle of the 500G Xbox One S + 2 games (either Gears of War 4 + Dishonored 2 OR Battlefield 1 + Dishonored 2) for $359. JB Hi-Fi have a good option for the console too, $319 with either Rise of the Tomb Raider, Forza Motorsport 6, Gears of War or Rare Replay. The games are older but if you’re less fussed on them, could be a goer.

If PS4 is what you’re keen on, again, EB seem to have the best deal, with a 500GB console with Fallout 4 + Dishonored 2 for $359 – although I think I’d rather get the $399 bundle for a PS4 1TB at JB Hi-Fi that comes with Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, just for the extra hard drive space alone.

When it comes to games, BIG W and Target are both going toe-to-toe with their deals. The best value for me has to be Titanfall 2 for only $35 at BIG W, given it’s such a recent release. In our review of Titanfall 2, we said: “During a time of year where there are such big name shooters being released in short succession, you definitely shouldn’t overlook Titanfall 2. With one of the most charming and riveting campaigns I’ve played in a game of this genre combined with a deep and addictive multiplayer component, I can’t sing its praises enough.
