Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony is heading westward

All rejoice for Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony has finally been announced as a 2017 release for PS4 and Vita. Danganronpa V3 was originally revealed during last year’s 2016 Tokyo Game Show and previously announced alongside an anime series, which began airing earlier this year.

The third main game in the series, Danganronpa V3 will, for the first time, feature a female lead as the main protagonist, Kaede Akamatsu. The game is set in an academy fenced in by a massive cage. While Danganronpa V3 will inherit the mascot character Monokuma and some other basics from previous games, it will not take place at Hope’s Peak Academy and will not feature any other returning characters. With an all new cast of 16 characters for fans to get to know it also promises to feature a lot more murder.

Fans will have to prepare themselves for a new world of Danganronpa, in what is looking to be the most exhilarating episode yet. Set in a “psycho-cool” environment, a new cast of 16 characters find themselves kidnapped and imprisoned in a school. Inside, some will kill, some will die, and some will be punished. Re-imagine what you thought high-stakes, fast-paced investigation was as you investigate twisted murder cases and condemn your new friends to death.
