Did you ever play Frog Fractions when it launched back in October 2012? The free browser game became quite the internet sensation when gamers discovered more to the experience than what the game would initially lead you to believe. After a successful Kickstarter campaign a hunt soon began to try to uncover the game’s sequel which according to the developers “will not be named Frog Fractions 2.”
Well, that hunt has finally ended after 2 years of searching and a massive alternative reality game (ARG) was solved. The ARG featured 23 other indie games as well as some real world puzzles that all culminated with a live-streamed unboxing on Christmas. With the ARG now solved, it didn’t take long before gaming detectives noticed that a game by the name of Glittermitten Grove had received a patch which added Frog Fractions 2 to the game.
Those who backed the Frog Fractions 2 Kickstarter campaign should also now have a key to Glittermitten Grove sent to them. Whether or not Frog Fractions 2 can be as crazy and surprising as the first is still yet to be seen, but I’d like to try and find out.
