The PlayStation Experience 2016 event kicked off in spectacular fashion this year with The Last of Us Part II getting immediately unveiled. Naughty Dog’s latest project will be a direct sequel to The Last of Us that released to critical acclaim back in 2013.
Although the game is still in early development, that doesn’t mean there wasn’t anything to show off. Check out the trailer and get ready to join me in blissful eagerness.
The Last of us Part II will see the return of both Ellie and Joel as their loving yet complicated relationship further unfolds. Whilst no release date or additional information was revealed, Niel Druckmann (creative director at Naughty Dog) posted to the PlayStation Blog that “It’s still early days for the project—the game’s release is a ways off—but we couldn’t wait any longer to give you a glimpse of what’s to come. We’re going to let the trailer speak for itself, but expect more information about The Last of Us Part II in the coming months.”
