It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! From now until the January 2nd, Overwatch players can get into the holiday spirit with the Winter Wonderland update. This update brings a wealth of new content, from cosmetic items like new skins, player emotes and sprays, to the Hanamura and Kings Row maps being decorated with colourful Christmas lights, snowmen and much more! You can even have a snowball fight in the new 6v6 brawl, Mei’s Snowball Offensive.
The loot boxes have been changed to look like a beautifully wrapped gift, and any loot box earned by leveling, participating in brawls or purchasing will contain at least one Christmas item, with over 100 items to go around. Mei’s Snowball Offensive is a completely new brawl, in which Mei’s Blaster has modified to fire a single, super-powered snowball. Enemies go down in one hit, but so do you, and missing a shot means you have to go find a snow pile to reload, which could result in you being eliminated from the round. You can still use your abilities though, which means you aren’t completely defenseless.
