NIS America have announced that Touhou Genso Wanderer and Touhou Double Focus will be released in US on March 21 2017 and Europe/Australia on March 24 2017 for PS4 and PS Vita. The Touho Project (meaning “Eastern Way”) was originally created by a single-person development team ZUN in 1996 as a way to develop his own game music and has since grown through a plethora of fan-developed games set in the mythical world of Gensokyo .
Physical copies of Touhou Genso Wanderer at launch will include a digital version of the 2D platformer Touhou Double Focus as well as a reversible cover and mini art-book.
Touhou Genso Wanderer is a cuteness overloaded RPG where you play as the Hakurei Shrine Maiden Reimu, who is trying to solve the mystery of Gensokyo with the appearance of a tower and residents replaced by angry clones.
Touhou Double Focus is a 2D platformer about Aya Shameimaru and Momiji Inubashiri who are sucked into a new world after opening a magical book.
Originally slated for a February 2017 release, I am sure both Touhou Genso Wanderer and Double Focus will be worth the wait of an additional month for Gensokyo fans.
