Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia is the latest instalment coming to 3DS systems, Nintendo announced. Fire Emblem Gaiden, which released exclusively in Japan in 1992, heavily influences the new title.
Of course, everything that made Gaiden unique has returned in the latest instalment. Free-roaming, dungeons, and flexible character progression are back, and have been reworked from the ground up.
Echoes features dual-protagonists, Alm and Celica, locked in a tragic war dividing the continent of Valentia.
Another Amiibo line has also been announced, which will launch alongside the game on May 19. Check out the sweet box art and Amiibos below
