Hollow Knight gets a release date & new trailer

Here at Checkpoint, we do love ourselves some Aussie indie games. Hollow Knight is one such game that we’ve had our eyes on for quite some time, but the wait is finally almost over.

Team Cherry, based in Adelaide, have announced Hollow Knight’s release date and delivered a brand new trailer to accompany the news.

The beautifully animated, 2D side-scrolling, action-platformer will be available on PC, Mac and Linux on the 24th of February.

Hollow Knight is an absolutely gorgeous game featuring a variety of action-platforming mechanics as well as an emphasis on exploration and collecting. This is the type of game you’ve been waiting for if you’re a fan of the classic Castlevania games and want a bleak but beautiful world to explore. Filled with powerful enemies, tons of collectables and secrets, rich lore and a good challenge, Hollow Knight looks like a seriously intriguing title.
