Make your own RPGs soon on the 3DS

You can already make your own platform levels with Super Mario Maker, but now with RPG Maker Fes you will soon be able to devise your own RPGs for the world to play!

NIS America have announced that the popular Japanese RPG creator will be released for Western markets mid 2017 on 3DS (exact date to be confirmed).

With RPG Maker Fes you are able to create your own RPG using a set of built-in tools, without the need for all that programming hocus pocus.  You can customise your own original story, characters, and even tweak the combat system to your liking.  Then you can share your epic adventure with the free RPG Maker Player app.

I don't know what is more exciting, the ability to make RPGs for the 3DS or the ability to play them all for free!

While there are several RPG making packages available for computer systems, being a 3DS title means you can develop your game whilst travelling.  Although this being said, the RPGs you can create will surely be limited in many respects.

But frankly I am sure many including myself will not care.  This is the perfect game for those who have that brilliant game story in mind to see come to life.  And who knows? It could lead to your big break in the gaming industry.  Or at the very least you can get a kick out of people playing your creation.  Kind of like being the Dungeon Master but on a much larger (and possibly cuter) scale.

And for those who love RPGs but do not wish to make your own, you can look forward to a flood of RPG titles to explore for free!
