Game of Thrones star Natalie Dormer, who plays Margaery Tyrell in the HBO hit series will be featured in Bioware’s upcoming sci-fi RPG, Mass Effect: Andromeda.
Dormer will play Lexi T’Perro, an Asari doctor who is the first to greet you (Ryder) when you wake from a 600 year cryo-sleep. Her character will have resemblance to Dr. Chakwas from the original Mass Effect Trilogy and plays the role of the resident doctor on the Tempest who offers her knowledge to you whenever you’re in need.
Dormer describes T’Perro as someone who is a wise professional with a hint of sarcastic humour.
“She’s got some experience and wisdom under her belt, and in that way shes is able to advise the player. She isn’t without emotion or compassion so she sort of tries to walk the line of just the professional doctor, but sometimes she tips over it. She’s got some great rye lines, dry humour in there” says Dormer.
T’Perro is said to have a rivalry with Peebee, another Asari on the team, so you may have to play the Dr. Phil kind of role to keep both parties at a neutral state . A romance is also said to be conjured up between T’Perro and your Krogan shipmate Drack, so there’s a high chance you may have to be the matchmaker in “Krogan wants a wife.”
Also confirmed to join the cast is another Game of Thrones actor, Gethin Anthonys, who plays Renly Baratheon. Anthonys will voice a character named Gil but no further information has been released regarding this character.
Mass Effect: Andromeda will be released March 21, on PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One.
