PAX Aus 2017 dates have been announced!

Posted on February 16, 2017

The PAX Australia gaming convention has announced its 2017 dates, which much to the joy of those wishing to attend, will not take place over the Melbourne Cup weekend again. This year PAX Aus will take place from the 27th to 29th of October, which will alleviate a lot of the stress which occurred last year with flights and accommodation. Whilst the dates have been announced you wont be able to purchase your badges until they go on sale on the 14th of March (just after PAX East). Ticket prices have also been announced, ‘Single Day Only’ attendance tickets will cost $65 whilst ‘Three Day Passes’ will cost $165 and includes national delivery. If you’re an International guest fear not, International Three Day Passes will also only cost $165 AUD. Attendees wishing to bring their own computer can (as always) purchase a ‘BYOC Pass’ for an additional $45. And for savvy shoppers getting in early will score you ‘Early Bird’ tickets that will save you $5 on the full ticket price.

Jerry Holkins, co-founder of PAX and Penny Arcade has said “Australia’s gaming community has given PAX such an incredible home here, this year will see the fifth PAX Aus erupt in Melbourne, and there’s every indication it will be the best one yet.”

Last year Checkpoint was in attendance all 3 days at PAX Aus and covered a variety of topics from indie games to e-sport, this year we hope to have lots more in store for you.
