Telltale have recently announced that The Walking Dead: Season 3, also known as The Walking Dead: A New Frontier, will be receiving its third episode in March. The episode in question has been titled ‘Above The Law’.
Telltale haven’t revealed any further information about the episode, however they did announced that The Walking Dead: Season 3 will have a physical release. The physical release strangely only includes the first two episodes initially, with future episodes downloading for free when they become available digitally. Why they didn’t just wait to release the entire thing on disk I don’t know. The physical release for The Walking Dead: Season 3 is set to launch in North America on Febuary 28th and March 3rd in Europe, no release date has been announced for Australia.
The Walking Dead: Season 3 continues on from the previous season and follows two playable characters: an older Clementine (the main protagonist of Season 1 and 2) as well as new comer, Javier. Both characters’ paths have crossed and so they band together with a group of others in order to survive.
The game also has the option of importing your decisions from the previous two seasons and will continue on with the story you have shaped. Otherwise, if you have come in fresh, the game will simply generate a default story-line. I personally think Telltale should adopt the Dragon Age Inquisition system of story progression that allowed you to pick the decisions you made in the previous games, if no previous save data could be found.
The Walking Dead: Season 3 (episode 1 and 2) are currently available to play and download on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and mobile devices.
