Developer Respawn Entertainment has revealed their second (free) DLC for their popular FPS, Titanfall 2.
The DLC brings about a new Live Fire mode which offers lightening fast, 6v6, pilot-centric combat with no respawn and a slight twist on the capture the flag formula. Each round gives players 60 second to either eliminate the opposing team or obtain control of the neutral flag. Worth noting is that the team holding the neutral flag when the timer runs out wins the round regardless of how many players they’ve lost, so knowing when to obtain the flag for your team becomes a very important part of the experience. The update also brings two brand new maps designed specifically for Live Fire: Stacks and Meadow, which until this point had not been shown off.
During a discussion last month about the upcoming Live Fire update, designer Griffin Dean said that the two Live Fire maps are “designed around controlled sightlines, choke points, and flank routes. These aren’t reactionary encounters, it’s best to have a game plan. You know where your enemy is coming from and you must utilise your abilities and mobility to outplay them. If you manage to flank your opponents, you can devastate their ranks.” – [source]
Titanfall 2’s new Live Wire mode is set to release some time in February 2017, alongside the return of the Colony map.
