Indie developers Monster Couch have been hard at work to get their Viking inspired beat ’em up out there for the world to enjoy. The Kickstarter for Die for Valhalla! has gotten off to a great start, and in order to finish development of the game they are seeking the aid of brave gamers to pledge and help them reach Valhalla!
You play as a Valkyrie whose mission is to turn Vikings into heroes by possessing them and controlling them to do various tasks, battles, and heroic deeds. Things are not always as they seem in the world of Valhalla. The game measures success by the amount of glory you gain and rewards you with new abilities and bonuses as you do so. Die for Valhalla is an old-school styled 2D side-scroller that will have 4-player co-op options available for your enjoyment. Along with discovering myths and tales of the Vikings, you have the option of summoning and possessing any of seven different Viking types, and maybe even monsters!
The game is penned for official release this year on PC, Xbox One, PS4, Mac, and Linux.
