Yesterday via a reddit post, official skin manufacturer dbrand took to the site to warn people against putting a skin on their shiny new console. “We’re here to make a public service announcement that under no circumstances should you be buying a vinyl skin / wrap for your Nintendo Switch.” the post states.
After 24 hours of a skin being applied, the Joycons outer coating started to peel and look like this;
Both the Joycons and the console itself suffer from the same peeling and scratchy look on the above image, so dbrand have advised against putting a skin on your Switch and have stated that they wont be making any skins themselves.
