Sydney will soon be home to one of the biggest eSports events in the world this May. IEM Sydney 2017 is going to take place at the Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney on May 6th and 7th and will feature the world’s top Counter-Strike: Global Offensive teams, along with a record prize pool of $260,000 AUD.
The event will see some of the best Counter-Strike: Global Offensive teams on the planet in attendance, including SK Gaming – the Brazilian two time championship winners, as well as The Renegades – a team with a complete 5 man Australian line-up.
This is a first for many Aussies, who are usually stuck watching these events online. But they can now finally attend one of the biggest gaming events in the world. Anyone interested can RSVP to the official event on Facebook, and check the IEM Sydney website for any updates, including finding out who the final teams attending will be.
