Expect your Facebook feed to be flooded with video game live streams very soon.
In a clear attempt to compete with Twitch, Facebook users can now go “Live” from their personal user accounts for video game streaming. Previously this was only possible for pages. And yes, Facebook is still trying to own the word “Live”.
How do you create your own live stream? Simply follow the instructions on the Facebook help page.
It is not yet clear yet how Facebook intends to handle violent or inappropriate content, an issue currently existing on many of their live streaming feeds, so I’d also expect Facebook to introduce some kind of content filter in the near future.
